New Series of Anti-Backlash Lead  Screw Nuts From Techno-Isel  Feature Advanced Turcite®X Material            Quote Request

New Hyde Park, New York -- A new series of anti-backlash lead screw nuts introduced by Techno-Isel are made from Turcite®X an advanced FFE polymer containing both teflon and silicon, Identified as the SupernutTM Series, they are self-lubricating, significantly lighter, less expensive, and last longer when compared with conventional bronze or plastic nuts. Their patent pending production process not only eliminates backlash but greatly reduces friction, improves assembly life and automatically compensates for wear. Applications include their use in high speed printers, XY tables, optics, medical equipment, aerospace plus a wide variety of electro-mechanical production machinery. SupernutsTM reduce drive torque by one-third and weigh one-fifth less than bronze. Their strength-to-weight ratio is far superior to that of  bronze or steel. When preloaded, the nut is self-centering and self aligning on the lead screw thread. It will also adjust for wear and allow  for misalignment or deviations in the thread form or pitch to produce outstanding accuracies of 50 millionths of an inch.
