New Hyde Park, New York
- - A new servo CNC carving router from Techno-Isel is designed so that the average shop
can produce staircase components, chair and table legs, pool cue inlays, gun stocks,
spindles and other types of rotary carvings or routing requiring rotary indexing on
different surfaces. The machine drew a large crowd when exhibited by Techno-Isel for the
first time at the 1998 International Woodworking & Furniture Supply Show in Atlanta,
GA. The 29" x 21" work area machine displayed at the show had 3-rotary spindles
which can carve simultaneously with the 3-router heads. The Techno-Isel machine displayed
at the IWF show is affordably priced at under $43,000. Typically, conventional CNC carving
machines are priced at over $100,000.
This rotary carving machine is available on most Techno machines up
to the 5' x 8' model which could accept up to 6 rotary heads. This new turnkey
system is shipped fully assembled and includes machine stand, cable carriers, plus servo
motor drives for increased accuracy and power, anti-backlash ball screws. Current owners
of Techno 3-axis CNC routers are now able to have their machine converted into a 4-axis
rotary carving machine.
