Mechanism consists of two friction disks mounted on the drive shaft so arranged that, dependent upon the position of the shaft, only one disk makes contact with the friction wheel. When the handle is pushed in, the shift is moved bringing the other disk into contact with the wheel, thus reversing the rotation of the output indicator.
